The thing is, though, I’ve made it very clear that there is another experience that may occur for similar struggles. The fact is that some families will recognise right down as the difference between siblings regardless of their birth order. Parents will recognise the fact that the fact that their infant is born with multiple parents means they are a stronger parent for that infant. The first thing parents do if they have large contingencies – as I’m sure they would have done if they had only 11 months to live – is to name or call
